Would You EVER Go Back To Being A Jehovah's Witness?
by minimus ini could never understand why some people who know the truth about the "truth" ever go back.
once you understand all the hypocrisy and negatives, i would think it's almost impossible to go back!.

HB: Forget making friends with an elder I would be happy to befriend one of the GB members, have a sit down conversation with a bottle of Jack Daniel's for free..Record the conversation and play it for my brain dead JW family members... -

48% Capacity at Kingdom Halls - A post on reddit
by berrygerry inthere was a letter read this week, followed by a talk about all the changes that are coming in the next couple of months regarding merging congregations in the area (va/md/dc) - the letter said that the kh's in the area are only being filled to 48% capacity.
this was music to my ears as i have noticed the decline in attendance in all the neighboring congregations.
they will sell some kingdom halls and merge some congregations.

Anyone heard any experiences lately in the assemblies????? How about I was homeless and I walked up to this cart, the two women ignored me as I stood at the cart. So I asked , what are you selling? They turned to me and said we are not selling anything and then they asked, are you a Apostate??I said what is a Apostate??We arranged a study and now I'am a JW...

When was the first time you said, "thank you for your service" to someone?
by Coded Logic inmine was to some random guy in uniform i saw on the street about two years ago.
even as a jw i knew that we had a lot of freedoms here in the us that were hard earned.
it felt really good to finally be able to say in person to someone when i i did..

The 60's and 70's were difficult times. I was drafted, dropped out of college and Uncle Sam called me., no idea where Vietnam was located.Graduated from high school 1965 in Nam 1967. My friends some join the Black Muslim, Black Panthers, Us organization (my wife today one of the original members),one moved to Canada. The funny thing about my friends the ones that escaped the draft went on to graduate from college, two became college professor, one became a dentist, one a doctor most were successful...The weekend before reporting to the draft board or the induction center I was invited to a party by one of the organization I mention above, it was a introduction to get new members...I was confused, should I move to Canada or some other country or serve my country that treat me like sh---t. Well the friends that escaped the draft took advantage of programs for the under privilege to enroll in a major college or university, there were programs in the 60's and 70's for blacks to move up in work force. So what does this have to do with serving in the military, I have know idea.....

How Long Out Before They leave You Alone
by tepidpoultry inmany years ago i met an older man in the ministry who told me he was a baptized jw years ago, when i met him he was an alchoholic and had girlfriends, i told the elders, two came by and they told me to treat him as a regular worldly guy, my question is (i know this is a fuzzy area) about how much time needs to go by before someone (me for instance) would be looked upon as a non jw worldly person?.
:0).

Out since 1987 so you would think, ok I have done all the evil stuff went wild (what JWs think when one leave) but now I'am in my 70 's and it's time to go back to Jehovah..Think you knuckle heads I'am not crawling back to the truth, why not????? Is it stubbornness on my part or maybe slowness of mind but what ever the reason have you brain dead folks ever thought about why after so many years you haven't come back to the truth....

IDEA "new business
by James Mixon inafter seeing tiger woods mug shot the idea hit me, a makeup artist for the famous and rich...i have never seen a mug shot of someone who didn't look like, well you know..weekends you camp out around the police station and charge 20-30 bucks to clean up arrestee(you the makeup artist) before taking their mug shot..i'am sure tiger would have paid big bucks.
i have never taken a mug shot but why don't they offer the folks a mirror......of course you will need to make arrangement with the law but i think it's a good idea to make folks presentable.
i'am sure some folks are declared guilty by just looking at their mug shot..

If you only knew how it felt the first time someone told me "thank you for your service". The vets that served in Viet Nam it was and is a little late but the veterans still alive appreciate it today. I was told before arriving back in the states (1968), be sure you take off your uniform before walking down the street in the good old U.S.A
